Despite making far less, Bollywood actually sells more tickets and makes more movies than Hollywood. Bollywood until recently was known more for its quantity and quality, but was home to some really great work by artists hired by movie studios to market their movies to the public. Arguably, much of the artistic quality of Bollywood film posters has been lost as movie studios have moved to more western poster design in an attempt to appeal to a global market.
